A Bit About Clare...
It's fitting that I was raised in Roswell, New Mexico because I've always felt like a bit of an alien. I never quite fit in. (Literally - I've been 5'10" since the 5th grade.) My hometown was the type of place that isolated a girl for having a flair for the dramatic, a swagger in her step, and an *expressive* taste in style and makeup.
But I found my place in the heart of NYC where I graduated from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. There, I received classical training as a method actress within The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. I also studied film acting technique and production at Stonestreet Studios. Some additional studies I took special interest in included Shakespearean performance, stage combat, and singing.
Since graduating, I have worked simultaneously as an actor, model, brand ambassador, host, and coach. I've continued taking classes to further develop my craft, and engaged in network opportunities with casting directors, producers, and collaborating artists of every medium.
One recent training I attended was the Coco Rocha Model Camp, where I gained expert supermodel insights on posing, runway and the business of modeling. Another experience I had the privilege of participating in was the first-ever annual Lee Strasberg Actor's Showcase in Los Angelos. It was a true honor to represent the legacy of the acting system that has so radically shaped my life.
It's been an incredible journey since moving to New York. I have learned so much about myself as a performer and an individual, and discovered some newfound passions along the way. Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi practices have changed my life, allowing me to become present, grounded, and find a balance of wellness in mind, body and soul. And as a Libra, nothing is more important to me than balance!
A few other particular interests of mine are art, nature and travel. I believe a desire to always keep learning and expanding perceptions of the world is the basis of being a well-rounded human and a fluid, adaptive performer. So while I call NYC home, I am continually exploring bi-coastal and even global artistic opportunities in this pursuit.
In case you were wondering, I still feel like an alien. But now I've come to realize that standing out is something to embrace and celebrate, and I wouldn't have it any other way <3
